On Thursday nights at SPS fans will see a variety of classes and also some new classes on the ¼ mile track in Wausau.  “We took a lot of time to look at different rules and different classes and decide which will be the best for State Park Speedway in 2010,” says Owner Scott Wimmer, “It was a tough decision for us, but I think the line-up we will provide on Thursday nights will be exciting for both drivers and fans.”

State Park Speedway will once again host super late model racing.  The rules for this year’s super late model division are based off the ASA Midwest Tour rules.  Fans can see exciting side by side racing with a full field of 20 cars and 75-lap features.  “The ASA Midwest Tour is a premiere series in this area,” says Owner Ron Wimmer, “We’ve been involved with them for a few years now.  They do a great job with their rules and we are excited to implement them at State Park Speedway.  With longer features we expect to draw a good number of drivers that will put on a good show for the people in the stands.”
