State Park Speedway will once again host super late model racing. The rules for this year’s super late model division are based off the ASA Midwest Tour rules. Fans can see exciting side by side racing with a full field of 20 cars and 75-lap features. “The ASA Midwest Tour is a premiere series in this area,” says Owner Ron Wimmer, “We’ve been involved with them for a few years now. They do a great job with their rules and we are excited to implement them at State Park Speedway. With longer features we expect to draw a good number of drivers that will put on a good show for the people in the stands.”

Wausau, WI May 12th, 2010 – 2010 – As announced at the State Park Speedway informational meeting; SPS and Golden Sands are excited to announce a combined point championship for the mini-mod division. “This gives those guys a chance to race every week if they want,” says Ron Wimmer, “It’s a neat deal and we’re excited about it.”
Sponsored by Snap On Tools, the Snap on mini-mods will compete for a Snap On toolbox, which will be awarded to the overall point champions. The toolbox, valued at over $600, will become the property of the mini-mod driver who accumulates the most points at State Park Speedway and Golden Sands this season. “What they’re doing is pretty cool,” says Scott Wimmer, “That’s quite the trophy. It’s a top of the line toolbox from Snap On and it’s something that the driver can use for many years.”
The toolbox will be on display at State Park Speedway throughout the year.
