MACKESY DOES IT AGAIN!!!

Wausau, WI (August 7) -

It's been a dominate season for Mark Mackesy this season. Tonight Mackesy would pick up another feature win. Long hours and good people around him have given the confidence needed to be a good race car driver. Phil Malouf would win the feature in the combined Mini Mod stock class. Dale Louze who finished the race in third would be the mini stock winner. Since the division was combined he would get first in Mini stock points. Bo Bennish drove his street stock to victory lane. Bennish led 13 out of the 15 laps.

A nice field of Late Models went 20 laps of green flag racing. Wayne Breitenfeldt led the race early. Mark Mackesy would charge through the field from 6th place to battle Breitenfeldt for the lead. Breitenfeldt and Mackesy battled hard, but Mackesy took over the lead with 10 laps to go. Dave (The Pilot) Cabelka would work his past Breitenfeldt for the second spot. Mackesy would have battle from Cabelka towards the final laps. Mackesy would hold on for the win with Cabelka finishing second. Third place would be Breitenfeldt. Joe (The Tower) Monti joined the late models tonight but had handling problems. Monti was last years street stock track champion.

Points Leader Nick Erickson, Jr. would drive Wayne Mackesy #27 since motor problems would occur on his #65. Kyle Genett would lead the first 2 laps of this contest. Bo Bennish would work his way past Genett for the top spot. Justin Woller in his pickup truck would get up to fourth but after contact with Brian Bartelt would drop him to the back of the field. Bennish and Genett would pull away from the rest of the field. Bennish would take first, with Genett coming in second, third place would be Nick Erickson, Jr.

A mixed show brings 12 cars competing for the Mini stock & Mod feature. Since of the low car count in the four cylinders the two classes were combined. The drivers in the mod class would be scored separately and the same for the mini stocks. Jenny Nitsche led the race early. Phil Malouf would work his way to the lead after contact with Brian Brummond. With 3 laps to go caution would come out when Joe Kuehn ran over debris cutting his tire down, and hitting the wall in corner#2. Phil Malouf would have a bump draft from Ritchie Kersten to end of this race. Malouf would pick up the win and second went to Kersten. Third place in the race but scored first in the Mini stock class was Dale Louze.

Next week is Fan Appreciation Night at the races. Don't forget about the special race Saturday, August 9th, 2008 starting at normal time. Until next week feed the beast!!
