The
Mini Stock class put on another good clean race. Jenny Nitsche who was
on the front row led this race for a few laps. John Lietz would pass
Nitsche on the outside groove for the lead. Lietz and his good friend
Dale Louze would race side by side for 7 laps. These two gentlemen would
challenge each other and never touch. It came down to the finish line
and Louze nipped Lietz for the win. Third place would go to Brad Conant.
The
# 25 was the make of the Mini Mod Feature, Ritchie Kersten in the new
25 and Conrad Lemmer in the familiar 25. Lemmer would lead the race off
the start. After 2 laps Lemmer would lose the lead to last years
division champion Phil Malouf. Malouf didn't keep the lead for long as
Tucker (The Beast) Miller passed Malouf on the high side. Miller would
stretch out the lead and go onto win the checkered flag. Second place
would go to Adam "Ralph" Eckes. Malouf would finish in third place.
The
Street Stock Feature would be an exciting race. #21 Duane "Mushy" Myszka
in the red rocket would lead the majority of this 15 lap contest. Brian
"
Wayne
Breitenfeldt and A.J. Kania led the Late Models to the green flag.
Before one lap was completed A.J. Kania made contact with Mark Mackesy.
Mackesy would spin making the race a complete restart. Breitenfeldt got
out front on the restart. Mark Mackesy would catch Breitenfeldt to
challenge him for the lead. Mark Mackesy again with another nice
performance would take over the lead with 6 laps to go. Mark Mackesy
would repeat with his second win in a row. Second was Breitenfeldt and
third place went to Kania.
Next
week will be scout night. Scouts in uniform will get into the races
free. Again support local racing before it's too late. Until next week
get to the two groove, side by side racing 1/4 mile. Everyone at SPS
would like to extend their gratitude to all the drivers and fans for
their continued support of Central Wisconsin Short Track Racing.
